Well Gents, a new year is upon us.  And it started off with some butt-freezing weather ( in the Northeast, at least).  Whatcha filling your bowls with these days?

I tried some more Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake, in a Comoy's Tradition Yacht this time.  Worked well with the deep, narrow bowl.

Saturday I followed a big meal with some Mt. Marcy in a Sasieni 4 Dot Ruff Bent.

Well I just busted the dust off the Nording and Savinelli and loaded a couple of bowls of Frog Morton On the Town and McClelland Anniversary.

I just found my Dunhill 965 stash so that will be on deck.

The fridgid weather is sticking around, so I'm sticking to the briar.

Sunday:
Larry's Blend in a Bjarne Viking.  I forgot how much I like this blend.

Monday:
Haddo's Delight in a GBD Peerage Apple.

Tuesday:
Some more Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake from the pass.  This time breaking in the old City de Luxe Bent Rhodesian I refurbished last year.  Pipe and blend both seem to be keepers.   Cool

Wednesday was RLP-6 in the Weber Shellbrook sitter.  The wide bowl works well with that blend.

More Navy Flake in the Stanwell 35 on Thursday.

Struggled with a Bjarne Viking Classic on Sunday.  At first I thought it was my packing, but not so.  Seems the bore down the stem extends 1/2" past where it meets the bore from the bowl.  Pipe cleaners weren't able to keep that area clean and it got pretty clogged up.  Taking it out of the rotation until I can think of a solution.  Shame, 'cause I liked that pipe a lot.

Tonight some RLP-6 in a GDB Peerage Apple with no issues.

RLP-6 in the Weber Shellbrook.  Packed it looser and it burned much better.  I'll get the hang of this yet.

I've been smoking Haddo's Delight this last week.  Had 1 bowl of SG Med Virgina Flake.  I need to try it again, but the wife didn't like the room note that it left.

Hey guys! I smoked a tasty bowl of Peretti London Flake last night. More than a year of jar aging changed it for the better! Not as harsh and more flavor.

Before the new pipe tobacco tax hits I might have to order some Peretti up! Wink

Been working through some RLP-6 for the past couple of weeks.

Today I tried some GL Pease Cairo from the recent pass.  Liking this one so far.
